We dated for three months and after three weeks he said “I love you”. Better yet, he wrote this email to me on facebook stating that he wished that I would never leave him and that he loved me. So about two weeks before we broke up he said that he didn’t love me and that he didn’t know what love was. Then he tried to break up with me a week later but I persuaded him to wait it out and give me another week to see it anything changed.

So a week later, on a Friday, we were supposed to get together at my house but I canceled because I was tired and I wanted to sleep early. The next morning I got a call from his mother saying he never came home last night. What really happened was this: he went home, told his parents that he was going to go out again to see me to go iceskating or something but really he was out at a bar, drinking with this coworkers. He got wasted (he’s actually an alcoholic), and got a DUI. He was pretty much in jail.

So the evening of the next day, I wrote “dissapointed” as the status on my facebook. One of my friends commented and asked me what was wrong. I replied : “alcoholism”. After that, my then boyfriend un-friended me from facebook and pretty much broke up with me on a message on facebook. Stating that it was “over”. I asked who he was with two nights ago and pretty much had to squeeze the answer out of him, that it was his co-workers. He does security at a middle school M-F 3-6 pm. He is a year older than I am, we went to the same H.S, the same college, although we didn’t meet until college. And he lives within walking distance from me! ughhh!

He said that he had to work on himself, and get himself straightened out and that we couldn’t be together. That we had separate lives and that we were headed in different directions. What I want to know is, how could he go from fine to wanting nothing to do with me over one weekend. We didn’t even see each other. To this day, he won’t even talk to me. In person, over the phone, in email, whatever. He’s like a completely different person. He went from being this loving boyfriend to someone I don’t even know. I suspect that he was seeing one of his co-workers or perhaps someone he met at a bar , on the side and broke up with me to be with the other women. What do you think and what would you do in this situation? I need closure.

I am working class and couldn’t afford mental health services for counseling on my own. I called county social services but unless I was a police code 5150, there didn’t seem to be any social services counseling. Instead the primary chunk of social services seemed geared only towards mothers with children, children themselves, the chronically homeless, addicts, or the elderly.

Is it a mistake for childless adult males, who aren’t suicidal but need mental health counseling, to seek county services?

Men do you find it attractive when women do things such as drink, smoke, and curse?

My whole life my dad brought me up to never ever curse, drink, or smoke. Or do other things like sleep around, I was always brought up to be really femine and respectful, and I wouldn’t say “keep my mouth shut” but it was more like a respect your elders, and not sound obnoxious.

Don’t get me wrong I am highly opinionated and went through my faze in my teens where I did all the bad things I could lol. I am no angel but I just find it so trashy when women smoke and curse I think it makes them seem unrefined and not very pretty. I like to exude a somewhat tough exterior but I don’t do it by acting like a grungy dude.

My boyfriends friends date these girls who are so trailer parkish, I mean looking at them I know if any of them ever started something with me I could kick their butts but I don’t make it a point to intimidate them or try to make them feel uncomfortable. Furthermore, I am wondering do his friends really find these skeezy girls attractive cursing wile smoking a cigarette joking about perverted things along with them being all loud? I think its repulsive and I just think if they had my dad he would slap them upside their nasty heads lol.

There are plenty of people who were raised like me, I mean it was on the strict side and my mom and dad made a million mistakes, but honestly I feel like I demonstrate more inner beauty by being just old fashioned lady like. I mean one day I am going to be a mother to a little child and so will they (and some already have kids.)

I know I don’t want my future daughter acting like this. I don’t think it makes them seem tough either, it only makes them seem MORE insecure, as if they are trying to hide that really they are frightened to act themselves.

I choose not to drink or smoke because one alcoholism runs in my family, I cannot be productive when I smoke weed, and cigarettes are just nasty and personally I like fresh breath and white teeth.

I am only 21 and even when I was a younger rebel I NEVER acted trashy. I have only ever been with one guy and will someday hopefully marry him. However, that doesn’t mean I do not wonder what other guys think.

I don’t think tattoo’s are trashy I do think they tend to make women look older once they hit 30+. But they look cute on younger girls too bad they age right lol. I will personally never get one simply because I change my mind twice a day lol.

I dunno guys what do you think? Do you perfer women who do everything you do or do you like classy girls who keep their wild side hidden?

furthermore I forget who said I was stuck up, I am far from it and all through out highschool befriended people everyone else was cruel to. Let’s take a look here:

So how about being male? Here’s just a short list of the things that negatively affect men: A shorter life expectancy and greater risk of mental illness, suicide, genetic disorders, alcoholism, social isolation, school dropout, homelessness, incarceration, often receive harsher penalties for the same crimes women also commit, like statutory rape, etc.

Despite all of this women have the audacity to whine about hormones, the cramps, the birthing pains? etc. Ha.

My mother is over 40 and going through the beginnings of menopause. I was just wondering from personal experience, did answer of you (the answerers) or your mom/grandma/aunt/etc. ever have their period for more than two weeks? She is really stressed because of our financial situation and my step dad’s alcoholism…but I don’t know if that is contributing. I just want to know if it is normal/have you when going through menopause had your period for two weeks (a heavy to medium flow) straight or more?

I’ve read this little factoid twice now, in the last 6 months.

Suppose the following scenario. Two days before a robbery and murder an 18 year old woman living with her mother while she completes high school is tossed out of the home because the mother needs the space for her new boyfriend. The woman, a drug addict, has spent most of her adolescence in foster homes, groups homes, and juvenile correctional facilities. A few days before turning 18 the woman was pronounced rehabilitated and returned to her mother’s custody.

The woman was molested by her biological father at an earlier age. He died in a car wreck when she was 8 years old. Other members of the family were seriously injured but survived. Nevertheless the family never recovered from the loss of the head of household

Alone and having no where to turn the woman found a group of men at a poorly run shelter. In return for performing oral sex the men promised to provide some money (that the woman would use to buy drugs). But in the end they refused to pay her.

A later another woman who had earned a some of money at her job unwittingly boasted about it.. Hearing this a several persons including the woman about whom we’re talking decided to rob her.

During the robbery the 18 year old woman stabbed the fatally stabbed the victim.

The group of robbers was arrested not too long after. Following a trial the 18 year old woman was found guilty of murder and sentence to hang. The judge said that while he felt sorry for the woman her crime was especially cruel and vile and therefore the law mandates she must die.

Should this poor woman be executed.

Hope it is at least a slightly interesting story. I think it does bring up some issues. Hope the answers are good.

I really thought I loved my mother and that she loved me, but it is because I didnt know any better. She was addicted to cocaine and abused my siblings, and then one day abandoned me. My dad raised me well all that jazz, but recently it struck me that I hate women. My friends tell me I hate women and I usually brush it off and not think about it, but I realized, other than sexual attraction, I cant stand women. However, my mother thinks that the religion oppresses women and that women in Islam cannot go to funerals or touch dead people. My situation is kindof complicated, but I will try and keep it short.

My father is an alcoholic, and things got worse when my mother went away for work for 8 months. While she was away, she met someone else, cheated on my dad and she is now engaged to this guy. Because of my fathers alcoholism, he didn’t have a job, which made my mother very unhappy, and she wound up in the arms of another man.
My parents got a divorce about 3 months ago, and now my dad lives with my sister. I still love my parents, but it is so strange seeing them with other people since they have been married for such a long time. I am 19, and I just can’t picture my parents with other people.
The other day I was visiting my dad, and he was telling me about some of the dates he has been on, and how he took this girl from the video store on a date. He talks to all these women on facebook, and I just find it so strange. Am I supposed to be happy for him? How can I get used to him being with someone else other than my mother?

In other words, if a pregnant women drinks alcohol during any time of pregnancy, will her child turn out to be an alcoholic? I know some alcoholics who know their mother drank while pregnant with them. Thanks for any help.

90% of people surveyed especially over the age of 35 said thier mother was the person who taught them there values, morals, showed them how to love, be compassionate etc.

Most said they had fathers that were pretty dis-connected from the family by being away for work, military service or just did not communicate well. Others said they had very abusive fathers, due to alcoholism or divorce which caused little contact with Dad.

#1-Very independent, and a risk taker. Left his father’s when he was 15 and moved out on his own in a old apartment in a ghetto area and started working in a warehouse doing hard manual labour because his dad was an alcoholic and smoked crack and they always fought. His parents were abusive when he was younger and in his childhood he was never given affection so he doesn’t really know what that is, and doesn’t talk to any of them, and doesn’t have any other family. Grew up much too fast and cannot relate to people his own age, will try anything at least once and there’s nothing he will back away from. He doesn’t trust anyone and hasn’t ever been attached to anyone, doesn’t care too much about anyone in general and trusts nobody , other than the woman he eventually falls in love with; that will be the only person he becomes attached to in his life. He can often at times be very cynical but he is always respectful face to face. goes to night school and works 6 hours a day; he has many responsibilities.He is drug free, but has tried a few things once. 5’10 210lbs

#2-School means alot to him. He’s got a very loving family and they mean alot to him. He’s very sensitive and soft hearted. He likes to read alot and learn, he’s very shy but sweet. Not the type that will try anything and at times is very dependent and relies on his mother. Often has a hard time sticking up for himself, but is learning slowly to get better. He likes to ride bikes and go hiking. For his age is still very innocent and hasn’t gone into the real world yet but is very curious to what it is really like. He is drug free and has never tries drugs before.He likes to have fun but is very afraid of breaking the law. He is good at drawing cartoons and likes to also draw in his spare time. He is an only child so his parents were always there for him. 6’1 125lbs.

I always attract the wrong women everywhere in everyplace. Online and Offline. I always attract the Single Mom, the Drug Addict, the Gold Digger, Unemployed, and the Criminal. Why? Okay I will start off explaining the semi part. Basically I had a pretty messed up family as far as drugs, violence, moved around alot, sometimes somewhat homeless and had to stay in other peoples houses. My mother struggled with drugs and drinking, her boyfriend even started smoking crack at one point and stole money and things from our house so after all that I obviously ran as far as I could from my home and I really did not have many friends and was extremely anti social. I just wanted to take a little bit of time to get all my thoughts and feelings together until I really felt ready having friends or having sex. Because of this people thought hey it would be really funny to make me think he’s gay. So to prove to myself I wasn’t gay I had sex with some random girl. It was really pretty bad in all honestly and I wasnt ready. Now I feel pretty good and I want to actually go out and date and have sex but I am really nervous that now a days most women start having sex in middle school and I have only kissed one girl my whole life and never even gone on a date. Also I am kind of sheltered and afraid of being taken advantage of because I am somewhat sucessful in my career and I dont want some skank who just is looking for a free ride. But now that I have a decent career, might be buying a home soon, have a decent car, in good health. I’d would like to get out and have some fun because I am so so so lonely and horny but I am afraid that women would be turned off by me being a 23 year old semi virgin.
