I’m worried that I won’t fit in as an adult since I do not like wine, beer, cigars, etc. They say it is an acquired habit, and I must admit, cigarette smoke does have its appeal after smelling my mother smoke. But what draws people to these activities, is it more of an addicting habit than actual preference?

Is tihs grounds for divorce? I am a mild drinker, and she is a Russian from Kharhkov or some such hole abandoned by God and man. She started to masturbate in front of my mother until I dashed her with a bucket of icy water after which she accused me of assault. What should I do?

my mother drinks an entire bottle of wine by herself without sharing it with others every friday, saturday an sunday sometimes it is those 3 bottles of wine she has on the weekends other times it is 2 bottles of wine and a 375 ml’s botle of vodka or 2 750 ml’s bottles of wine and 1 1 liter bottle of sweet liqueur and this is done weekend after weekend after weekend, she has the weekdays off but I am not sure if that helps much is my mother gonna die if she keeps up this habit???

The place we are having it is B.Y.O. alcohol. It’s a nice Italian restaurant so we thought it would be nice to bring wine. There will be about 20 people there who will be adults and able to drink. About how many bottles should I buy and of what kind… I know nothing about wine I don’t like it so if you also have suggestions on brands that would be great.

my mom’s like that. a glass of wine or two with dinner. doesn’t get drunk on a basis though.
Bur me, ever since ive started working at a strip bar (shot girl) ive been drinking more than before in the past few months. I usually have at least 2 or 3 drinks at work typically. sometimes shots or grateful deads. On 3 or 4 occasions getting really drunk, like to drunk to drive home, or one time i fell and broke my foot. I have always loved to party but now i do it more than most of my friends. how much drinking is too much drinking? Is my mom an alcoholic with a drink ev ery night? Am i an alcoholic if i drink nearly every night and binge drink occasionally?

i was just wondering cause my mom said it would make you sick if you drank rubbing alcohol… but would putting it in grape juice help at all? XD

my mom gets very beligerent when she drinks cuz she cant hold her liquor however i can! but im worried that i may be like that in the long run cuz im startin to get a taste for moscato lately.. right now im a social drinker and i can hold my liquor and i dont get beligerent… but still im alittle concerned,.. should i be?

My hubby comes home from work everyday and drinks 2-3 glasses of wine a night. He says there is nothing wrong with it, and that Europeans do it, and it is just fine.

But I think he is ADHD, and uses the alcohol to relax. The doctor said he is too old to take ADHD medications, since most people his age have learned to cope with the nervousness. So he refuses to do anything.

His whole family is hyper and nervous, and going to their house is insane. His mom starts drinking wine at 4, but doesn’t stop until 9. His grandmother is an alcoholic and nuts. His dad only drinks occasionally. The whole family grew up drinking with dinner, I believe.

Should I be worried about him? I do admit I come from a family that NEVER drinks so maybe I am overreacting? When does someone become an actual alcoholic?

in the bible and quran it says not to drink alcoholic drinks so according to both books i want them to stop!

My dad’s been an alcoholic most of his life, and my mom too. My only brother also had addiction problems, but with drugs and smoking. I’m 22 and never had an addiction like that, I’ve been really interested in wine lately and I’d like to get into it. Usually I try not to drink alone and only with friends, but I’d like to taste wine alone sometimes.

Should I be worried of becoming an alcoholic like my parents? I rarely drink alcohol because of that, but sometimes I take a drink before I go out with friends to loosen up.

So EVERYDAY she drinks half a bottle of wine (2 full glasses) and same with my dad. my dad makes his own wine so she’s always telling him to go get it. i abbsolutely HATE when she drinks, and can’t stand it. she told me that people in italy drink a lot of wine during dinner and for me to not worry about it because she’s perfectly normal. she also said that she has a low heart rate and with the wine it rises it up and she “feels better”.
i just need some reassurance.

My mom can polish off a (1.5 litter) bottle of red wine in two days. That’s about half a bottle a day, I don’t know how many glasses of it. It takes her about four hours to drink half the bottle, and sometimes even more wine than that. This is every single freaking day. One of the most common sights I see now is her walking to the kitchen, empty wine glass in hand, to get a refill. This is why I started keeping tabs on how much she was drinking, and now I’d like to know – how bad is this? Is it binge drinking yet? How much alcohol is going into her system? She’s about 140-150lbs.

Lets say a store takes a bad risk by setting up some wine samples on a wine tasting counter an lets customers help themselves if they want to tastes some wine which i agree is a bad idea.How much trouble would any wine or liquor store get into by allowing customers to pour themselves wine samples?

My mom has been like this since she married her husband and she drinks wine every single night. She turns into a totally different person and it’s awful. One night I came home and of course she had wine next to her but she was sleeping, but when I walked in she was like “I haven’t seen you in forever! I bet you don’t even recognize me?”

Just please help me, I have no idea what to do and it hurts so bad. I’m extremely depressed….i need something done.

Evey time I need alcohol for a party my mom gets my alcohol. Although she always refuses to buy me beer. I try to explain that it is just about the same thing. How do I convince my mom to buy me beer?

or is it normal. My mother drinks about 2 cups of wine everyday and even more in the weekends. She doesn’t get drunk except on the weekends sometimes. Is it normal or does she drink too much?
