What rights do children have to a mother’s life insurance, if they are not the beneficiary?
Thursday, May 26th, 2011My father-in-law was the primary beneficiary in a life insurance policy for my mother-in-law. Since receiving the money, he uses it to buy drugs and drinks all the time. He also has a restraing order against him and two DUIs cases pending. Is there anything that his three children can do to get the money away from him?

Why is the organization called MADD (mothers against drunk driving),,,, Why should it be “just mothers”?
Sunday, May 15th, 2011Why do they call itself mother against drunk driving as if ONLY mothers are against it only guys drive drunk and think its ok? Why should only mothers be against drunk driving? And instead of only focusing on drunk driving, they started attacking the drinking age even though 18-20 year olds are ADULTS under the law. They dont mind those 18 year olds being old enough to have equal responsibilities and consequences as legal adults but not the same rights. If that was the case, why dont they make alcohol illegal for ALL adults since thousands of people well over 21 also drive drunk, binge drink, and committed crimes while drunk putting others at risk. Whats the big deal why a 19 year old adult cant have a beer in his own home? They are also fighting against stores that sell cold beer because they think all people buying it will drink it immediatly afterward so they want the beer warm forcing them to drink it at home where they can cool it later. Why do they want to punish everyone including responsible people? Now everyone has the suffer for this BS!.
Isnt EVERYONE against drunk driving and not just mothers?

Do you think my mother’s an alcoholic?
Tuesday, April 19th, 2011My mother drinks a glass or two of wine everyday. I don’t think she ever gets drunk from it, but she drinks it every single day. Then when she forgets to pick up some wine from the liquor store, she complains about it like she needs it. I never really thought of her as an alcoholic. I always thought of an alcoholic as someone abusive who drinks all the time to get drunk. Would you consider my mother to be an alcoholic?

Sunday, April 3rd, 2011Is Drug Rehab the only cure for my mother’s severe heroin addiction?
Thursday, March 31st, 2011Me and my mom has been on a trailer park for 2 years now. Since my father left us for his “legal family” my mom got so devastated that she resorted to heroin. Every Monday she would go under the bridge which is about a few blocks away from our trailer to buy her stash from spoiled white-suburban kids. I feel so helpless because I don’t have the spine to stop my mom from destroying her life. My only option now is to place her under a rehab program in the hope of saving her from her addiction. Is this a wise decision? or must I try to talk some sense in her before placing her under a rehab program?

UN-happy Mother’s Day…?
Sunday, March 20th, 20115 years ago, my mother had an adulterous affair with her best friend’s husband. The marriage between my parents had failed after a combination of things, but whatever it is was, it still stands today that her way of “getting out of the marriage” was to have sex with her best friend’s husband first. They were working together, and one thing led to another.
So 5 years later, with each Mother’s Day approaching (and Father’s Day), I loathe and hate and can’t help but remember the destruction and pain my mother caused with her decision in leaving the marriage. What hurts the most is her yelling at us, not just my dad, that she wanted to leave the family.
So I have been wondering all these years: how do people like me cope? How do people who have abusive mothers, alcoholic mothers, drug-addicted mothers, etc. deal with “Mother’s Day”?
I’m not some kid who didn’t understand what was going on 5 years ago, which is why I hurt more. I’m turning 27 this August, and still can’t cope.
