Saturday, September 11th, 2010

My father and my mother been married for 39 years. Me and my mother have been there through all his recuperation of an accident and his mental problems and alcoholism. Everything was fine till he received a large cash settlement. He does not want to have anything to do with me and my mother and wants to divorce my mother and give her nothing. My mother does not drive or ever worked. She has always been a house wife and has absolutely no money even to pay rent and for food and no savings. I am so depressed and don’t know what to do… Please Help
.
By the way, we all are living together in Texas.
Thank you all for your responses.. I am so scared… My dad opened a bank account only in his name. My dad said that he consulted with a divorce attorney and he said because it was a personal injury he does not have to give her anything of that money is that true?
