1.father is verbally abusive
2.mother is addicted to gambling
3.younger brother is verbally abusive
4.no love
5.father has hit me a couple of times, leaving rednes and bruises
6.I have evidence that mother is cheating on father
7.live in a 1 room apartment with no breathable space.

My question is are these ^^^ valid reasons to run away? I’m gonna run anyway, but I want to know if these reasons are valid (if I get caught , what will I tell the police?)

She was talking about how much there family has been surrounded by alcoholism. My fiance has always been a pretty big drinker ever since I met him, about 2 1/2 yrs ago. He used to go out 5 or 6 nights a week. Now he probably goes out 3 times a week not including the times he goes out for a beer or two after work. I’m not a nag and I don’t complain about it unless I found out that he decided to drive himself home after he’s been drinking.

But I would like to prevent his drinking from becoming a big problem in our future. I know you can’t just change or force someone to change so I won’t even try that route, but how can I start to deter him away from alcohol?

He is in a very angry state right now though and the past two days when he calls he just gets very upset with me and acts pretty much like a smart a$$. To give you an example last night was ok… I told him I found out I had strep throat and I had been puking because of all the sinus drainage im having as well ( some kind of virus on top of it) he didn’t really say anything about it… we just kinda moved on in the conversation. This morning he called me while I was at work and I had just puked all over my desk and he said whats up and I said, well I just puked again… His response: SOoo, you want a cookie or something? (Like as in do you feel special because of that). I said, umm no and he responded with “we are supposed to be talking about me, not you.” I proceeded to ask him, so how are you doing? and he said “DO NOT ASK ME THAT!!!” very sternly. So I tried to move on I was just kind of ignoring his bull **** because I know why he is acting that way. He is mad because the medicines are not giving him a buzz anymore– thats a quote. So I mentioned Christmas (he gets to come home for Chrismas) I said so your mom is wanting to do their christmas thing on Christmas day in the evening instead of going to your grandmas house and he got extremely upset about it saying all he wanted to do was see his family and I said well maybe it’d be a good idea because your grandmas house will be full of people trying to get you to use and he said YOU DON’T NEED TO GIVE ME ADVICE OR TELL ME WHAT TO DO. I talked to his counselor who said he has not shown commitment to the program thus far and they are still working vigilently with him on this and that if I recieve phone calls like that from him I am to tell him I am not going to be talked to that way and hang up. I called my mother in law and told her all this and she offered to pick up my daughter from daycare today and take her home for the night so I can get some stuff done around the house and i told her there was no extra clothes or anything for her to take at daycare and she said we have all kinda of stuff here from goodwill we can put her in, but saturday during visitation he asked me, the next time you bring her could you put her in something a little nicer??? I just can’t take on all the responsibilities plus him being a jerk to me right now… I don’t know what to do. Any advice on this situation would be helpful… Im so sad…

She is my cousin through way of her father which has been incarcerated for over 2 years (repeat offender)

So here is some brief information on the situation. The little girls mom has been in and out of rehabilitation battling alcoholism for over 25 years. She already has 2 older children removed from her care many years ago. About a year ago, the child was placed in foster care since mom had a relapse. I found out 5 months later at which point i got involved to try to foster her while mom received the care she needed to eventually get her back. My family and I (I have a girlfriend of 4 years and a step daughter who is 5 and a half) have made several trips to inquire about her case and situation and most importantly, to try to motivate “mom” and spend time with the little girl.

Since my 2 year old cousin has been with her current foster mother for a going on a year in a couple of months and due to the fact, that mom is not showing as much progress as she should, i am thinking of filing for custody before her foster man has rights to adopt her and frankly, can do and take my cousin away from all of us.

My question is, when i file for custody, can any of the counties assistst me financially with the baby. I’m the only one working currently and my though i make “decent” money, i have entirely too many expenses to take on the additional responsibility of a child. I’m torn though because i know she belongs with family.

They had one baby that is just fine and feeds itself. The next brood was also one baby, and the first baby and the father began pulling out its feathers, so we separated it to another cage where it seems to be doing fine. Now the problem. The pair has had another brood of 2 babies. The babies are about 8 weeks old. They have been covered with baby feathers for awhile now, and now have adult feathers over most of their bodies. The problem: The father, first male off spring, and even the mother are now pulling out feathers and biting the two babies. They seem to be trying to drive them from their nest. I have tried to separate the two babies into another cage, also with a nest. I am not sure if they are eating or drinking yet. I;ve tried to show them where the food and water is, but I am worried about them. I tried moving the mother in with the babies, but the male and female seem to be going crazy being separated even though they can see each other as their cages are right next to each other. I need some advise as to when the babies are old enough to survive on their own, and what to do about the other birds pulling out their feathers. Please help with some suggestions/advise. I am new at raising lovebirds, and don’t know much about them. The books I’ve gotten don’t address this problem. Should I put the male and female back together again? I don’t want one of them to die of loneliness, but I don’t want the babies to die from lack of food or water.
