My mother in law forbid me to bring beer to her house last Christmas. I drink maybe once a month and never get drunk (3-4 beers tops). She’s just very religious. So in turn, I forbid her from bringing chocolate bars into my home since she’s a diabetic and it actually harms her. She’s always eying up sweets, so I compare her to a drug addict. Needless to say, she doesn’t appreciate this analogy. What do you think.

Okay, Get ready for a long one… I live in Michigan and I’m 16 years old. I live with my mother who has full custody of me and always has. My father is a cocaine addict and I’ve always had problems with him. He verbally abused me from as far back as I can remember and finally while visiting him a couple weeks ago, he took something out on me that I had nothing to do with and I finally snapped and stood up for myself. He kicked me out of his house and I walked home until one of HIS friends came and gave me a ride. Now he’s looking for any way to gain control over me. His best friend is also one of my friends and I told her something about me talking to this guy who is 22. She ended up telling me dad and now he says he’s going to call the police and that my mother and I better have a good attorney. I didn’t have sex with this guy or anything though, and now due to my dad, I’ve stopped talking to him completely. There is nothing he can do about this is there?
He can’t prove anything because, nothing happened to begin with!? He told me to expect investigators at my house, what do I tell them that will make them beleive me, since I am telling the truth!? Please let me know!

My dad has always been responsible. Unfortunately, ever since he and my mom got divorced, he has gotten himself into bad company and started doing drugs. I hate the effects that this has had on him. He really needs to get himself treated as soon as possible, and I would like to find a drug rehab for him. Please help.

Please please help me out. I asked once before. My son was with this girl addicted and selling prescription drug. She went to another state and we were relaxed for a little while now she is back here. My son is seeing her and going with her again I am sure she is selling drugs I saw couple of her emails. She has other boyfriends too and she was leaving with one of them until few days ago so she did not give anything to my son. She was living in the guy house 32 years old men. Now she is out of his house got a place for herself, a room or something. She told my son she was just roommate with that guy and was not sleeping with him. Complete lay. For some reasons when my son goes with her he loses his judgment I believe it is because of drugs she gave him. He believes all she says even though before she told him clearly she is with other guy and do not want him anymore. The main reason was that my son lost his job and used all the credit cards he could and had no money for few months so she left him. Now he found a job again and she is back to get his money. She doesn’t pay for anything so long she is with my son and that is one of the reasons she does not want to lose him. Please help me out I am desperate in need of advice I scare she makes my son a drug addict like herself. This girl has no family she does not know who is his father and has a mother leave in another state who has nothing to do with her.

I just found out she is using again. She denies it. I just had thyroid cancer and just can’t do it anymore, the lies, etc. SHould I have her move out? She is bipolar but I have given her my all for yrs now…stress is too much now and I am single mom with a 8 yr old daughter at home too. Suggestions please….

Both of my parents have been addicted to drugs. My mom is a recovering addict, and my Dad still uses heroin (but I haven’t seen him in years, I’ve never lived with him). I’ve been feeling really weird lately… like, craving drugs that i’ve never even used. It’s odd. I smoke pot on a daily basis, and I drink on the weekends, but that’s about it. I just feel like somehow I am more prone to addiction because it’s in my genes. I have dreams of me doing drugs, or becoming a junkie, and it terrifies me because I’ve seen the damage it’s done to my parents. But somehow I feel like it’s unavoidable… Also, after doing a bit of research, the way I think resembles very much to a drug addict. What can I do before it’s too late?

i smoked a little bowl on saturday, got drug tested monday night around 11 30 – 12, and i passed cause i drank 3 gallons of water, had a few shots of vinegar, and added a little blood & hydrogen peroxide tto the small almost clear urine sample, even though i passed, my mom shanon is sending it away to the company to have it double checked. will it come back as diluted cause of the stuff i added to it or all the water/vinegar/soda/milk that i drank ? or even worse, will what little thc in the sample come up at all?what can i do if i were to be teseted again next week? im workin out a lot untill next monday cause i heard it burns off the thc laced fat molecules in u, and u gota stop 2 days before the test, do you think any of this will work cause i m a preetty slim fit guy? and is there anything else that i could do? today is tuesday morning and i will do anything to pass the test.im never doing it it again so dont tell me how bad i am.this is urgen, ill go to rehab for & dont need it

Ever since my mom left us, my dad has been wasting his life away. He got himself addicted to drugs and I just want to help him by getting him treated.

My niece who is 26 used to be addicted to, and made, methamphetamine three years ago. She quit doing it, moved back with her mom, got married and had a little girl. However, she ended up getting a divorce and moving back into her dads who also has admitted to making methamphetamine in the past and even has some arrests on his record for it. She let me see her little girl this week, and I kept her for three days. Her little girl is almost 3. However, when I dropped her back off this evening, my niece (her mother) was obviously ‘tweeking’ from the drug and probably only wieghed 70lbs. I haven’t seen her in months (my sister/her mom picked up the baby), but she looked horrible. It was so obvious to me that she was doing it again, and in my opinion, probably making it as well. I didn’t want to leave the baby there, and made a deal to get her back in a few days, but I want to put a stop to the baby being there at all. What can I do? If I call CPS, don’t I have to have an exact address, and don’t they have to actually CATCH her doing it? I don’t want her to hate me (just because she will take the baby away from me) and then the child will never get a break from the horrible living conditions she is in.
I do not care that she is mad at me, only that she will cut off my communication with the child. I want to know what to do first….who to contact first…..does it have to be perfect timing???

Every Monday she would go under the bridge which is about a few blocks away from our trailer to buy her stash from spoiled white-suburban kids. I feel so helpless because I don’t have the spine to stop my mom from destroying her life. My only option now is to place her under a rehab program in the hope of saving her from her addiction. Is this a wise decision? or must I try to talk some sense in her before placing her under a rehab program?

Ok… so I havent evr seen my biological dad and he lives somewhere in Idaho and I want to see him, but when my mom was dating him he was really abusive and now he does drugs, and i dont mean just po or cigs, i mean heroine,crack,pot,meth, coke, every drug u can think of he does, I also have a sister from the same dad shes the same age as me but my mom and ehr mom dont get along but i want to meet her. How do I tell my mom I want to meet my dad and sis?

My mom use to be an alcoholic, and she’s been changing very much. She was talking to me the other day, and she said it’s a hereditary thing. Like, I might become an alcoholic. Personally, I just think it’s just YOUR problem, you can’t really go and blame your family because they gave you that trait. I believe that you just have to take control of your own body, and do the right thing so you don’t become an alcoholic/drugie.
That’s just my opinion though.

My mom started to smoke when she was 18, she started to become an alcoholic when she was only about 36-fives years after having me. Right after the divorce between my parents she started doing drugs. I am an honor student, i was awarded a scholarship. The only problem is, i don’t know if i should leave my mom. My brother is with my Dad. Should i take the scholarship? I cannot afford rehab for her, or the room with proper care she needs. Please help me?

His names Brian and he works as a waiter at Clydes in Alexandria. He’s living in northern Virginia with our mother. He claims he’s been just working and trying to get his life together, but all I’ve been hearing from friends is about him partying it up. I’m just very concerned about him.
