I have a minor flu, and she said drink as much “Sprite” as possible. Why “Sprite”?

I’m 19 and in college. My mom is an alcoholic, just like her father, 2 of my aunts, my great-grandfather, and a 2nd cousin or two… I’ve heard that alcoholism is genetic and runs in families. I promised myself when I was 12, when my mom went back to rehab and i realized what was going on for the first time, that i would never, ever drink. So far I’ve kept that promise to myself and I still don’t want to drink. But I just think that like, come my 21st birthday, what am I going to do? I just feel like I’m missing a huge part of my social life–like going out with friends for drinks and just being normal and loose like everyone else. I dont want to get drunk, I just don’t want to be known as the tense sober girl. But then I think about all the pain my mother has puts me through and I never want to put my future family through that by choosing to drink. I dont know what I’m asking really, i just want some advice please?

My brother came home with one and said am i allowed it at my age, 13, or do i need to be 15+

I am the father of an 18 month old son. My ex took my son into a bar with her mother to drink on Christmas Eve. I have a picture of her and my son in the bar. Her mother drinks alcohol everyday, takes pain meds and sells them, smokes pot, and Xanax. One day I called her mother to see how my son was because she had him for the night. Her mother slurring her words told me he was ok and asleep. My ex also has a history of drinking. My ex took my son the other day and won’t contact me or let me see my son. I have been taking care of him most of the time we have split. We were engaged but I broke up with her. Can I get custody of him?

I had a Mother cat we gave her to the vet because a dog broke her leg and they had to remove it..the vet said that we had to put her to sleep because it was badly invected. So now im stuck with 3 four week old ,ittens and i cant seem to teach them how to dink water form the water bowl. PLEASE HELP ME ANYONE!
