Me and my friend use to roll with a bad crowd. We did drugs including cocaine but now we both stopped together. One of our old friends is heroin and cocaine addict. My friend found out and has known for a while that her mother is getting cocaine from our old “friend.” Her mother has been seeing our ex friend and getting drugs from her as far back as July. My friend has told her mom she knows and shows her evidence that she has found (2 coke bags and multiple calls and text to and from our friend talking about coke) but her mom totally denies it. My friend can not tell her dad because she know that her parents will get a divorce and that it would further complicate her life. What should my friend do and what advice can I give her?

I am 17 years old and my mother is addicted to cocaine. I have confronted her about it but she has totally denied it. I am 100% positive that she is because I have found 2 coke bags. She also pawn a lot of things, yet she never has any money.
I really can’t tell anybody or turn her in.

Many of these suffer brain damage and deformities due to their mother’s selfishness.
If these women can’t care for their children in the womb, should they be allowed to keep them afterwards?

My mother’s friends is 3 months pregnant.

She’s 31 years old and has just confessed that she is using drugs, cocaine in particular.

Can anybody tell me what effects using these drugs will have on her baby?

I would like to get some info for them,her parents have already taken her to a counselor but being a mom myself if worries me what can happen to her baby.

No i do not know her well enough to take her to my doctors my mom called me and told me to look up on the internet and i ended up here,this is serious, thank you for the responses so far.

As for the baby being taken away,we live in Canada and our stupid government seems to let hookers keep there babies if they are addicted,it is just stupid!

My mom told me that my dad is addicted to cocaine, and that is why he acts so different from other dads. He doesn’t know I know, but I just don’t know how to deal with him anymore because he is always angry and mean. So I am pretty much always in trouble or on his bad side because of this drug. I think if he wanted help, my mom would send him to rehab or at least a helpful program, but I just want to know what is going on with him and what I can do.

The Birth mom assured us she was NOT using. Now says only till she found out she was expecting? Child is full term. What can I expect?

been through several pretrials and drug use seems to be a non-factor. she was habitual user of coke and marijuana, and since i had knowledge i am seen as guilty. she claims to be recreational user and proof of burden is on me. i witnessed said actions of marijuana nearly everyday of a 13 year marriage. my 20 year old daughter also witnessed several occurrences. because i lack the funds to continue this battle, 5000 dollars, my lawyer will not pursue it and wants a dissolution to happen. i could use any suggestions. thank you in mansfield,ohio.

I just watched the post game interview and its the first time I have ever heard him talk, but wow I realize why that probably was. I am pretty sure if there was an award for most down syndrome person without down syndrome he would be a top 3 candidate. Just his speech is enough to make you think that he was dropped or ole boy’s mother was getting her drink an her two step on when she shouldnt have been.

Our mother is a heavy cocaine user. Her addiction and behavior is devastating our relationship.

I think a neighbor has gotten herself in some trouble and is smoking crack. I live in a neighborhood where this can be a problem. Any information on what to look for…ie. symptoms, odors etc would be much appreciated. This young lady is also a Mother to a young child which complicates the situation.

term memory loss now. From then i lived with my grandma and uncle. In 8th grade she died, (i found here laying in the bathroom, she had thrown up blood or something and then fell, all i k now is that the whole bathroom was red) that was pretty traumatic, i then stayed living with my uncle. I saw my mom every week, shes at rehab for her head injury. Recently she broke her leg and somethng is wrong with her head. Shes at a nursing home and barely makes any sense. My aunt is an alcoholic but is for the most part alright, i talk to her everyday. When she drinks its just hard too:-/. My uncle takes care of me now. Hes great but expects so much out of me. I take care of all the chores & just deal with so mcuh. I have a boyfriend but at times can be sometimes verbally abusive and jelous. I dont kno this all is so overwhelming at times. Somtimes im happy but othere times i just.. get so sad. Its hard to sleep at night sometimes. Is this anxiety? Answers please:-/. Not sure what to do.

The report also states that, there were 722,000 persons aged 12 or older who had used cocaine for the first time within the past 12 months averaging nearly 2,000 initiates per day.

To detect the cocaine test, the One Step Cocaine Test is simple to administer and detects cocaine metabolite Benzoylecgonine in human urine at a cut-off concentration of 300ng/mL.

Specimen collection:
The urine specimen is collected in a dry and clean container. Urine collected at any time of the day can be used for testing. To obtain a clear specimen, urine with precipitates should be centrifuged, filtered or allowed to settle. The specimen can be stored for up to 48 hours at 2o C to 8o C.

Directions for use:
Test card and urine specimen should be at room temperature i.e. 15° C to 30° C prior to testing. Remove the test card from the pouch and discard the small moisture absorbent packet immediately. Immerse the test strip vertically in the urine specimen for at least 10 to 15 seconds with arrows pointing towards the urine specimen. Then place the test card on a non-absorbent surface and start the timer. Wait for the red lines to appear and take the results at 5 minutes.

Interpretation of the results:
For a positive result, one red line appears in the control region and no line appears in the test region. However, for the negative result two lines appear- a red line in control region and another red or pink line appear in the test region. For an invalid result, control line fails to appear. The most likely reasons for a failure are insufficient specimen volume or incorrect procedural techniques.

Im going to a doctor for the first time in a year. I am a minor, and used to use cocaine awhile ago, and will never touch the stuff again. I know that my nose is significantly scarce because of it, and this new doctor is absolutely going to notice it. I wouldn’t want my mom to know, because it would break her heart. Would my doctor legally be allowed to not tell my mother? Serious answers are appreciated.

There is a controversy regarding high-profile people taking cocaine in my country. My friend and I had an argument regarding the long term effects of this illegal substance. I know that the fetus will be affected if the mother is taking cocaine while pregnant but if she has been “clean” for a while—say 2 years, she can have healthy children. I am supposed to be a recovering heroin addict. My mother knows, since i told her and my stepdad, so i could get into some kind of drug rehab program (Im under their medical insurance plan). Well, Im in outpatient treatment,waiting to get into inpatient.
Today i did a lot of cocaine, and my mother knew as soon as she saw me that I was planning on getting drugs (she can tell by now).She doesnt know what drugs, but she just ‘knows’ when im going to do it. She left me a really sad message on my cel. phone saying simply that i cant fool her;then she called me and basically told me that she knows what im doing,etcetera. she didnt yell at me or anything, she was just sad.worried.despair has a tight grip on her heart. apologizing would be stupid and meaningless.
i really dont know what to tell her when i see her.
anyone with a similar experience?i need insight.

whn my mother was pregnant with me she used cocaine and im 16 going on 17 and i wasnted to know if it still has any effect of me now?

I dont do any drugs nor do i drink alcohol. My husband has been on and off from the Crack, he is trying to quit but he relapses. Should i be worried about my unborn child. I know that if the mother smokes crack while pregnant, that is harmful. But is there anything in the sperm? Is there any chances for birth defects ? Im very concerened.
