Me and my mom know nothing about each other. when i was just a month old she was sent to a mental hospital when i started elementary school she came back home she also started working so i barely saw her.she would leave before i was gone and would not be hope until 10 and i would be sleeping by that time when she was not working she went to bingo so i would barely see her.when i was in the 7th grade she stopped working then she started to drink she would hit me and have arguments with me and she still does i currently in the 11th grade. sometimes i wish she was not my mother. what should i do ?

I recently took in some stray kittnes living under porch, and the mother didn’t want to stay inside more than a few minutes at a time. She’ll meow at door, I let her in, she tried to escape (knock things over, probably wants to move the kittens away)

She does feed the kittens still and play with them. But I have no choice to let her outside constantly or she’ll start destroying stuff.

I have a breeding pair of lovebirds. They had one baby that is just fine and feeds itself. The next brood was also one baby, and the first baby and the father began pulling out its feathers, so we separated it to another cage where it seems to be doing fine. Now the problem. The pair has had another brood of 2 babies. The babies are about 8 weeks old. They have been covered with baby feathers for awhile now, and now have adult feathers over most of their bodies. The problem: The father, first male off spring, and even the mother are now pulling out feathers and biting the two babies. They seem to be trying to drive them from their nest. I have tried to separate the two babies into another cage, also with a nest. I am not sure if they are eating or drinking yet. I;ve tried to show them where the food and water is, but I am worried about them. I tried moving the mother in with the babies, but the male and female seem to be going crazy being separated even though they can see each other as their cages are right next to each other. I need some advise as to when the babies are old enough to survive on their own, and what to do about the other birds pulling out their feathers. Please help with some suggestions/advise. I am new at raising lovebirds, and don’t know much about them. The books I’ve gotten don’t address this problem. Should I put the male and female back together again? I don’t want one of them to die of loneliness, but I don’t want the babies to die from lack of food or water.

I disagree with the idea completely because they should be giving up the bottle by 1. She never cries for the bottle with me and drinks from a sippe cup or regular cup. It seems that she only wants it when she is with my mother in law. My husband thinks nothing is wrong with that but I do. What do you all think about this situation? What should I do about it?
I threw out the bottles a long time ago. It seems as though they have her spoiled. She doesn’t drink from the bottle all the time but every once in a while when she cries they spoil her with it. Thanks for all your advice people!!

My new puppy is 5 1/2 weeks old, and is currently being wiened from the mother. He is a full blood Chihuahua. He will not drink water. We’ve given it to him in multiple forms and dishes, but he will not drink water. He keeps going back to the mother to nurse, but she isn’t really letting him anymore, I’m worried that he might get dehydrated if he doesn’t drink something soon.

They have some of their teeth they eat puppy food, drink water, run around. the mother doesn’t have a lot of milk. would it be okay for them to leave the mom for maybe a day or so.
