anyone can get addicted to any drug, it doesn’t matter if their mother used them…
heroin ,cocain..
There are no drugs that you can become addicted to just because you mother used them. You can become dependent on them, but the only way to get addicted to a drug is to do it yourself. If you mom is a drug addict, then yes you have a higher chance for becoming addicted to drugs later on in life.
Alcohol!
I think what your asking is if your mom used them while she was pregnant with you, right? Mostly you see coke and herion but almost any drug she take if she is dependent on it you can be addicted to when you are born.
It has nothing to do with which drugs she used. You make your own choices. You don’t have to get addicted to anything. Just don’t start doing them then you won’t have to stop.
Cocaine
Heroine
Marijuana you aren’t addicted to it but you will have issues as a child
Alcohol
The mother can pass on her addiction to her child of, pretty much anything. I don’t think anything is excluded
None if you don’t use them
Nicotine, cocaine, speed, barbituates (pain pills), opiates (heroin), and alcohol.
Basically any drug….legal or illegal….that causes addiction in the mother.
There is a higher chance that you will become addicted to that drug if you use it. But if you make sure that you don’t use it continually or on a constant cycle, then there is a smaller chance of it happening. Talk to your doctor to be sure, cause some drugs have a higher chance of addiction than others. Good Luck!
any drug that crosses the placenta and drugs that cause physical dependency.
street drugs and pregnancy are usually not something that are combined in scientific studies so research on the subject is sparse and usually very inconclusive, not to mention the difficulty in controlling other factors in the study.
drugs that are known, or at least widely accepted, as having addictive qualities for a newborn are crack, meth and heroin…as well as pharmaceutical drugs. as far as crack, it is more a psychological addiction than physical, but the negative effects of newborns have been seen time and time again and they are heinous, its very very sad. although crack is usually grouped in with cocaine as coke is the main ingredient in crack, the qualities and effects are not exactly the same and as of yet studies have yet to PROVE theories about neonatal addiction although anyone can agree that its obviously not GOOD for a fetus or anyone, for that matter.
alcohol may carry some level of dependency in infants, but again the stress is more placed on the physical deformities and effects related to alcohol as opposed to the infant actually being “addicted”
and with marijuana, has not been shown in ANY study to have serious adverse effects on a fetus, this includes addiction. a baby born to a mother who smokes marijuana heavily during pregnancy will POSSIBLY be millimeters shorter in length than “normal” babies and beyond that no physical effects can be attributed to marijuana use during pregnancy, contrary to popular ignorant belief. OBVIOUSLY it is not the best thing to be doing while you are pregnant but it pales in comparison to even cigarettes…has not been shown to cause any kind of behavioral or physical problems from birth to beyond. however, in some studies children at about 5-9 may have “developmental or behavioral difficulties” but its hard to link it to marijuana use and not just questionable parenting.
bottom line, there isn’t much evidence for any claim like this since its considered unethical to do this kind of research on pregnant moms OR fetus’ for that matter and you know, its hard to use mice as an example because…we aren’t mice. ya know? lol
i ALMOST forgot one of worst things to do while pregnant, prescription pills…of course doctors may insist that the need for the drug outweighs the risk to the baby…tell that to the moms who took anti-depressants and had babies with severe abnormalities, or possibly died, because the mother was convinced it was safe(r) to take than nothing at all…
to be really honest, mothers on anti-depressants WOULD be better off smoking weed, as it has been proven to be less harmful…but i’ll expect my thumbs down because i know people are too ignorant to look at plain facts and would rather just believe the propaganda the media pumps out like rx drugs.
no it;s not nessecary to be addicted to it cause ur mom took it when u were in her womb, the thing she did to u while she took it during pregnancy is hurting ur nutrition.. and if u are addicted to some drugs now it is coz u are addicted to ur mom herself and u r trying to imitate her,, or coz u are affected by some other pp; who let u know such drugs,, u have to take a decision to stop it or to yield to such thoughts and put the doupt on ur mom.
