I was wondering if anyone knew of any.

My best friend’s mother was a meth addict a few years back and recently my friend(samantha) found meth in her house.
She says her mom has been acting differently and coming home at different hours of the night and sometimes not come home at all.

Samantha’s mother DENIES that she uses,but everyone in the family is certain she does.

A week ago samantha was reaching out for her cell phone while her mom and grandmother were arguing and she(her mom) kicked her!
It turned into an actual fist fight.
Samantha has a black eye now,she asked for my help,so here I am.

Please dont judge their family,I just NEED answers.

the last 15 years of my life, and ever since the first day i met my mom i have never seen her drink a single drop of alcohol. never. school just started last week for me so as you can expect my house has more stress and pressure than we’ve seen in a while and my mom randomly started acting strange last friday night and i learned that she had been drinking and she was drunk. she admitted to it.

tonight the same thing happened, she went into a random rage at me when i was sitting on the couch reading and writing for english, about how i don’t even know what the real world is and stuff.

my dad JUST told me told me that 20 years ago he forcefully sent her to 30 day rehab and she sobered up, until now. i really dont know how to handle this relapse, and neither does my dad.

i was thinking we could send her to florida to visit her sister for a while, since shes her best friend (and to get out of the house). she didn’t admit to drinking tonight. as of right now shes passed out on our couch. her pupils were dialated, she spoke slowly, and didn’t make a whole lot of sense. she also said my dad and i hate her and if she had a gun she would shoot herself in the head so we wouldn’t have to deal with her (at this point i was hysterical crying telling her how much i loved her and going NUTS)

should we get her a blood test to see if shes been drinking/doing drugs?

should she be going to rehab?

she’s the kindest person i’ve ever met in my life and i love her and i really dislike the way she acts when she drinks. shes always been my biggest role model. i don’t want her to hurt herself.
please help. thank you.

my sister & i think my mom might be an alcoholic….she drinks daily, drinks alone, finishes everything she starts (not to mention any alcohol she knows is present), doesn’t drink for enjoyement anymore, and gets very angry & hostile when she is intoxicated. can anyone give me advice or let me know if this sounds like she is possibly an alcoholic. it’s really a scary thing for me to try to fathom…she’s my mother. ANY help or info is greatly appreciated :)

I’m seventeen. All it seems she does these days is seclude herself in her room and drink up to three bottles of wine, getting plastered. The only times she does come out is to rip out the thermostat, wires and all, claiming she is “too hot”, and ordering 200 dollars of chinese food.

Is it wrong to feel sorry for her? All I feel is pity.

Alcoholism is in my family but i didnt clearly understand it until now. Grandfather was a terrible alcoholic and mother has inherited the disease but avoids it by not touching a drink in 25 years. If uncle (250 lbs) touches one drink, he gets mood swings and very aggressive.

How do I know if I will inherit this disease and if so, what are the characteristics i should be watching for in my drinking life?

im having a halloween party and im having it at my moms house in the garage. my mom knows about the party and she will be upstairs with some of her friends.
a lot of my friends are bringing alcohol. my mom says she can be put into jail and or get the house taken away from her…is this true?
and if it is true, what loop-holes are there to keep my mom from getting into trouble for my friends drinking??
besides; if my friends are 18 and over, isn’t their chose and responsibility of their actions?

For 2 years, I have been renovating my house. My 8 year old daughter & I were not living in this house during the work. We moved back in the week school started in August. Ever since my child was 3, she’s been friends with this little girl, who was being raised by her grandparents (who are very respected members of this community & a really great couple, too), while the child’s mother was in drug rehab. While we weren’t living in our house, the “mother’s” parents bought the house directly across the street from me for their daughter & grandchild. When their daughter got out of rehab, she & her daughter moved in. When I 1st met the mother, she let something slip. She said something to the effect that “oh right, I still have to work on my man problem”. She immediately allowed a guy to move in with her & has had a steady stream of boyfriends do the same, since. This latest one is the most scary. I don’t have the space to continue my question. Will have 2 begin new thread

I would have to agree with all of you that it would be none of my business but as I said before, you must not have read my complete question. This question is continued. Once again, I apologize for this being my 1st question, ever here, & not knowing how to do it correctly & yes, I am as guilty as you, because I didn’t read the “instructions” 1st.

I’m really pissed off. I don’t deserve to be yelled at because I refuse to feed her addiction. Getting my stepdad on my side is really hard because he doesn’t like people angry at him… I feel horrible for him, but he needs to stand up and say, no, i’m not getting you alcohol…help?

and never sees her grandkids? She is perfectly capable of driving, calling, etc…and goes to other family gatherings…but likes to blame me for not seeing her grandkids. I have never kept them from her. I am so angry…my kids are growing up…one just left for college, others are getting up there…they aren’t toddlers anymore. This really hurts. She will never help herself, we all know that…she just wants pity I can’t give.

My nephew got his girlfriend pregnant. Her home environment is horrible. She has an open protective services case due to physical abuse from her step father, as well as neglect from her mother, who is a recovering heroin addict. My brother and his wife want custody of their sons girlfriend, but how do they go about doing so? The pregnant girlfriend is still too young to go through emancipation in the state of Michigan.

He uses baking soda from home. He is 24years old. My mother crys like crazy everyday. He use to be 320lbs. Now he is 170 or 180. He looks like he got aids or something. We don’t have money to put him in a rehab. Is this any other strong way which could stop him from smoking crack? Please IMMADIATE HELP AS SOON AS POSSIABLE!!!!!

Not chugging it but she drank frequently.

I find myself yearning for wine even though a second ago, I spit it out, hating it. And had to fight off cravings for a month.

And when I start eating some type of food I really like, I can’t stop eating though my stomach’s bulging. But no, I’m not fat. Underweight, in fact.

I told her not to buy so much and if she does hide it but she dont care she said move out if it bothers you. I have a binge eating disorder so i dont know what to do. I think i have one cuz last night i ate all of the following in under a like 2 hours: 1 pound of strawberries, 4 servings of chips, 10 cookies, an icecream bar, some terriyaki chicken and rice

A few weeks ago i noticed she was drinking that box wine more often. She got drunk a few nights a week. When we went to a party at my aunt’s my mom was drinking and when it was time to go home i had to get in the car with her while she was drunk because i had no other way to get home… we live an hour away from my aunt. My sister tried to tell her that she was drunk and she was just yelled at, saying she wasn’t drunk. My dad wasn’t there to drive either. Then when we got home she kept drinking then threw up all night. According to my dad she has been doing things like that for weeks, but I wouldn’t know because when she is drunk she goes downstairs. a few days ago she fell down the stairs. My dad said this happened to my grandma on my mothers side and she ran away when my mom was like 16-17
i saw she left a page open on her laptop about menopause….. could that do it?

He is 19 and I’ve asked him to stop smoking pot over and over, he promised he wouldn’t and now admits he still does anyways. He claims that it’s all my fault started anyways because his first time was with me. He took it too far, and I got disgusted with it(and seeing him under the influence) and quit forever myself quite some time ago. His mother hates that he does drugs and blames me. She doesn’t know that I’ve quit a long time ago though. I hate it just as much as she does. Can I get him to go to a rehab so he is not allowed to get high? I asked him already and he said no though.

my mom is a major alcoholic and i am 16 and as a 16 year old you want your mom there it just seems like she don’t care about me and i call her she but she don’t wanna talk to want to talk to me what should i do

My mother has been very depressed for the last year and has resorted to alcohol as an answer. She goes through at least a bottle of wine a night. I try to talk to her about going to alcoholic anonymous meetings with her but she just won’t listen to me because Im only fourteen. Does anybody know how I could convince her to go because she honestly does not have the money to keep going on like this and Im always the one suffering. Thanks.
