I was just wondering because some people have told me that yes even if the mother did not use drugs or alcohol but the father did the baby can still have major problems and even possibly be addicted as well.
I am not trying to get pregnant. But I was just wondering if this is true or not. Because my boyfriend does weed, and other drugs so I was just wondering.
THX.
Good question. Not sure but why are you with an idiot who does those sorts of things? Anyone who does drugs is a loser. Find someone else, hun.
NO but keep ur lil kiddo out of alcohol and drugs!
all da best
Yes i agree with the first person to answer. Drugs are such a bad idea for so many reasons. Why would you want to be with someone like that??
A father’s drug/alcohol use can effect his sperm, which can cause problems if he fathers a child. Also, ofcourse, if the mother is around the smoke from drug smoking it can cause problems.
Best thing to do, is for both parents to stop using drugs and alcohol before a baby is brought into the picture.
no but if he does it front of the baby when it is born then the baby could see it as normal and me more likely to do it when they get older
It is partially genetic, but also has to do with the environment in which your baby grows up. So, you need to keep the baby away from all of those things (alcohol and drugs) and be sure to educate him/her on drugs and the harm they can do. My sister and her husband were drug addicts and my mother raises their son- and he does very well, straight As, plays sports, etc. I’d say he has more of a chance of going to college and leading a normal life because of that.
the chemicals in alcohol or drugs can affect the cells of sperm and egg…so yes, drug or alcohol use can affect the conception and development of the baby. illegal, over the counter or prescription drugs and even small amounts of alcohol can cause problems.
A friend of my son’s, was dating someone who drank, and used drugs. Her kid, had to have major surgery, due to all of his internal organs were on the outside, when he was born. Does that answer your question?
If the father was the one raising the baby, then the baby would have a much higher chance than if the mom spends more time with it and the dad is away.
Yes problems can arise later on when the child has grown a bit. Some times it will happen as soon as the baby comes into the world. Premature, with drawl systems, irregular growth with the limbs, the brain does not develop well. There is a long list of things that could or could not go wrong.
Be careful either way.
drugs can mutate the fathers sperm… and if that sperm makes it to the woman’s egg, it can cause problems, i dont know about hardcore birth defects, but it can cause situations.
YES, THE SPERM CARRIES BLOOD TO THE BABY. YOUR CHILD MAY HAVE PROBLEMS AND BE EXPOSED TO ALCOHOL. THE HOSPITAL MAY TAKE YOUR BABY AND CALL CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES.
There is new research that says that it is possible. I would try to convince him to quit anyways, because a baby needs constant attention that can only be provided from a parental figure who is not under the influence of anything.
Plus, the smoke (yes from marijuana, too) increases the chance of SIDS.
If your not trying to get pregnet, then why do you care?
all i can say is dont take that chace, drop him
