How can i tell my mom that I’m not addicted to coffee,and stop trying to control every opinion i make and making a big deal over everything?

MY 5 YEAR OLD BROTHER DRINKS LOTS OF COFFEE
Tell her that you’re 17 and can make your own decisions…tell her that at least you’re not addicted to drugs or stuff like that.
Or…make a big deal about the stuff she does (within reason…don’t get in trouble) and give her a taste of her own medicine.
my grandmother fed me coffee and toast for breakfast when I was 3…I would watch Captain Kangaroo dunking my buttered toast in my coffee I am 48 so it didn’t kill me and I was quite happy. I only drink one cup a day so I am not addicted either
Ask her why she is opposed. (This also shows her you are listening and taking her concerns seriously.) If it is because she is concerned about your health, you can show her the studies that show it is good for you (in moderation).
Tell her that you are glad she is concerned for your health if that ‘s what it is But you are almost an adult. You are old enough to drink coffee, cappuccinos, lattes and so forth. 2 or 3 times a wk is not bad. Tell her at least you are not doing drugs or anything illegal. You could be doing worse things.
