Is my mom addicted to cigars? She smokes too much cigars daily, coughing a lot and deep inhaling smoke?

My mom is 50 years old heavy chain-smoking woman for years. She is on her 3 packs a day habit with no intense to quit or cut it down. She is smoking for about 25 years, and she is always with a ciggie in her mouth smoking like a chimney and every day she smokes more and more. She also likes to smoke two cigs at once saying that she really needs to smoke more to feel good. In a recent years she started to smoke cigars on a daily purpose, she is really deeply inhaling them and says that she likes big smoke that fills her inside. She has a female friends about her age, who also smokes a lot and when they come to our house it is smoke everywhere i’m almost out of breath.
And my mom changed a lot. She looks older than she is, she got wrinkles on her face too early, she has a yellow tar stained teeth and very bad breath, she is always coughing a lot and constantly out of breath, sometimes i noticed that she is feeling dizzy, but she says she is ok. Is it a big problem?
you mom has serious problem with smoking. typically, you would inhale the smoke from cigarettes but not cigars. cigars are more potents and unfiltered. its like inhaling smokes directly from a fire. she shouldn’t be inhaling that. she can pass out and die from smoke inhalation.
yes…especially the part on inhaling cigars…cigar smoke is not intended to be inhaled only held in the mouth and this will cause problems very shortly
If your mom is smoking 2 cigarettes out of her mouth to “feel good”, then she is addicted to smoking…Cigarettes do have addicting chemicals in them and it has been shown that the tobacco companies developed tobacco leaves that would cause people to smoke MORE of thier product once hooked on the stuff.
And yes, smoking prematurely ages you, both your lungs, and your looks…
And I am sorry to say, but you can lead a horse to water, but…..you can’t makem drink…
My suggestion to you- steal every cigarette and cigar in the house….and throw them away….in a recepticle that is over a mile away…
and then run……..
