Ronald Cummings focuses on Haleigh despite divorce

Friday, January 15th, 2010

occurred. I could not represent a client who was not being honest with me, and was taking illegal drugs. To make matters worse, In April 2009, Crystal admitted to me that she had taken unprescribed pain medication. Further, her mother, Marie Griffis, reported to me that Crystal had stolen her step-father’s pain medication after he had surgery in April 2009. I was extremely concerned over my client’s drug use. Crystal assured me that it was not an addiction, and that it had only taken a …

Ronald Cummings: wants PI to look into Mother’s side of family.

Friday, January 15th, 2010

Video of Rons new lawyer. Article by old lawyer on Crystal Sheffield and family. This office certainly hopes that no one in law enforcement is operating on the theory that Haleigh was murdered by her mother’s family. There is however a more plausible explanation. While this office does not have the statistical data that criminologist possess, it is safe and appropriate to state that most child abductions are perpetrated not by strangers, but by family members for purposes of illegally …

The Kombucha Tea, Millenary Truth or Many Years Old Fantasy

Friday, January 15th, 2010

This ancient beverage has been invoked as a wonderful cure by many individuals and a poison or fancy stories by others, this without grey arguments.

The profuse information that can be found at the Web, teaches about the culture preparation, explores its origins, mentions some technical data but, on the contrary, does not appear a clear scientific explanation of how it acts, namely pharmacodynamics of the active ingredients and also about these, there is no unanimity. A lot of authors mention many chemicals that for other authors do not exist.

Our group has been working on developing a fermented beverage, based on bacteria and yeast that are used in brewing beer, cider, vinegar and wine.

We decided to begin, in parallel, the culture of Kombucha and once we systematize the methodology, we started carrying out tests on volunteers.

Also, to differentiate our culture, from the traditional, we started testing the addition of herbal extracts, at different times of the process.

This story refers only to observations made with the traditional Kombucha tea, without the addition of herbs. We do not have enough evidence to say that what is stated is statistically significant, as we do not have the possibility to measure accurately many of the results we have attained.

Keeping the kombucha culture within certain parameters, acidity, temperature and fermentation times, as well as the basic substrate of the crop (tea and sugar), we can say that there are properties that have been expressed fairly constant.

In addition, through the addition of herbs extracts, we have succeeded in enhancing such effects or properties. We continue to work with new additions and testing techniques that emerged during fermentation processes.

One of the more clear items that are achieved with regular consumption of this tea, is the improvement of health welfare, with greater expression of physical energy and mental recovery. Organic defenses are increased as well.

It seems that I have several years less, is one of the most frequent comments of the volunteers, after about 3 or 4 months of consumption. It is true I have experienced this myself, after almost a year to consume only one glass daily.

In particular the memory is one of the areas where improvement is evident with greater clarity. It is not only the memory of many years back, experienced by the elderly people, is the memory of every day, the lists of things to do or buy, what happened yesterday, last week or last year.

Although it is difficult to measure, at least in the normal life of a person, a number of volunteers have commented that, while consuming the tea, sexual activity became better. If its consumption is stopped for a few days, this activity decreases significantly, but reassume the previous level as soon as the treatment is regained.

Despite its acidity, a pH between 2.8 and 3.5, does not cause gastric troubles. By contrast, drunk between meals increases gastric and intestinal motility and improves digestive processes.

There is a significant improvement in eye sight, in most cases, where there are no serious problems like myopia, cataracts, etc., but this problem is due to the year passage. Put in other words, had achieved a decrease in the graduation of lens crystals.

Another of the accomplishments achieved with the continued consumption of Kombucha tea, for several months, is the transformation obtained in the skin. Decreased skin spots, elasticity improvement and so forth a quite important decrease in the appearance of wrinkles, at least in people younger than 70 years.

The hair and nails are another of the organic components that presents a positive response. My mother, 90 years, said that she had never seen her nails to grow that much, but with his hair things are not so clear.

Going on with the family, I am personally one of the male individuals favored by genetic, at the age of 60 I began to loose hair on both sides of the forehead. First I tried with a lotion that we had developed years ago and it worked. Then, when I started drinking Kombucha tea, the response was similar. This has happened with other male volunteers. There are more detailed data on my blog.

In women it has been achieved, in most cases, an arrest of the fall and in some cases, we noticed a restore of hair growth.

The control and reduction of varicose veins, at least those not very severe was another very positive success. Back to the case of my mother and other very elder individuals, I could see it vividly. It was a pity that I can not convince my mother to let me get pictures of her legs, to include in the blog or in future websites.

There anything else I want to comment briefly. In another article I have told how a vocal chord tumor was successfully treated with radiotherapy. At that time I tried also with Kombucha tea, but with the addition of herbs to enhance immunity and reduce inflammation. I managed to avoid almost completely the inflammatory reaction so common in individuals treated with X-rays.

I can not say that this will happen with all those who are to be treated with X rays. We are trying to test this in other people, although so far we have failed to get volunteers.

Another series of achievements we have obtained with Kombucha tea associated with herbal extracts, as I commented at the beginning, are described in other places, since these are recipes that we have for sale.

On the other side, properties that are claimed by kombucha fans could not be attained in our tests.

Arthritis and rheuma, atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, headaches, kidney diseases, weight loss, diabetes, allergies, wounds, are some of the ailments that could not be ameliorated.

I assume the compromise, for the next article on this topic, to bring in accurate figures and more technical results. We are working on this direction.

Better than Any Other – Unique Gifts for Mother

Friday, January 15th, 2010

Everyone wants to show their Mum some appreciation on Mother’s Day – but sometimes it’s hard to think of the right gift – something that is special and unique – and preferably easy to buy! That’s where the power of online shopping really comes into play – there are some fantastically unusual and quirky gifts online that will really hit the mark, and definitely put a smile on your Mum’s face. After all, with another year of running around after you, Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to earn some vital brownie points in advance! Check out some example Mothers Day Gifts; such as these:

Perfectly Beautiful Mother’s Day Gifts

If your Mum enjoys taking care of herself, then why not treat her to some beautiful handbag and beauty accessories such as a silver perfume atomiser? It is very small and discreet and allows the user to re-apply their favourite perfume just before a night out (even if that is just a trip to the supermarket…) What’s more, the atomiser is engraved, so you can pick your personal thank you message to your Mum – with a maximum of three lines long. You can also get other lovely silver handbag items, such as the engraved lipstick case and the neat little silver handbag mirror, decorated with a stiletto design – all guaranteed to perk up your Mum’s handbag and bring some glamour to her life! Otherwise, how about a tiny silver jewellery and trinket box studded with Swarovski crystals? This really will add a bit of bling to your Mum’s dressing table, and will be a perfect place for her to store her earrings and rings.

Pampering Presents!

If you’re looking for Mother’s Day gifts that pamper and relax your busy mum, then why not treat her to a Pamper Hamper? This gorgeous gift hamper contains a wide range of gorgeous beauty and relaxation products designed to ease away all stresses and strains! The treats include a hair band, cotton slippers, lovely scented candles, a foaming bath gel, rose petal laced soaps, aromatherapy confetti for the bath, exfoliator, bath bombs and many other treats, all gifted in a lovely wicker hamper and hand finished with a ribbon. This is a fabulously decadent gift which any Mum will love – just make sure she uses those products on herself and doesn’t let the family run off with them!

Chocoholic Treats

If all that serious pampering has got your Mum feeling a bit peckish, it could be worth tempting her wicked side with the fantastic chocolate tin – a huge silver gift tin filled with all kinds of treats including chocolate drops, muffins, brownies, champagne truffles, caramel filled chocolates and even a decadent white chocolate and cinnamon drink! Even if your Mum is trying to resist such treats, there are other lovely hampers to present to her – Mothers Day Gifts such as the exotic fruit hamper filled with delicious seasonal and tropical fruits all finished off with a bow and cello finish, for a truly beautiful table top display! (While it lasts…)

Get Dancing!

Perhaps you’d like to help inspire your Mum to re-discover an old passion or learn a new skill. What better activity to try than a dance lesson! Ballroom and tango dancing has never been so popular and people everywhere are flocking to learn some moves – so your Mum really will be at the height of fashion! Only a partner is needed, and your Mum will enjoy an hour’s class for beginners – no previous experience required – and learn the basic steps to start spinning around that dance floor! And if you think she might be a little bit nervous on that first lesson, then allow her to take the edge off with humorous Mothers Day Gifts such as the mini pink hip flask – tastefully designed in silver and pink shell – and perfect for a little medicinal swig every now and then from the handbag!

Experience Days

If becoming the next dancing champion isn’t particularly your Mum’s idea of fun (or your Dad’s, as designated dance partner) then how about treating your Mum to one of the many experience Mother’s Day gifts on offer? There are all sorts of things to try such as wine tasting at a vineyard, a professional makeover and photo shoot, a day’s racing car or rally driving, even animal handling at a zoo! If pure indulgence is more the ticket then there are also experience days to spas and health clubs, where your mum can enjoy a range of relaxing treatments such as massage, sauna, steam and facials. All of which are guaranteed to make her smile and find you truly wonderful!

Who Knew This Would Happen?

Friday, January 15th, 2010

By Rev. Ned Wicker, drug-addiction-support.org

This is a story about a beautiful, bright and intelligent girl. She was the best player on her eighth grade basketball team and she appeared to have all of the requisite talent to excel in high school and perhaps earn an athletic scholarship. But she never went out for the high school team. “Too much time commitment” was her reasoning and she never played again.

That might have raised a red flag for some parents, but mom and dad supported her decision to drop basketball, and there was no cause for alarm because her grades were exceptional. She was a gifted student and even as a toddler, she surprised everyone by speaking in complete sentences. Articulate and intelligent, she was always an amazing child. She graduated at the head of the class.

But something happened. There was something disconnected in her life. There were no major signs of something wrong, at least on the surface. All teens rebel, it’s a part of growing up, but with her there was an uncomfortable, underlying militancy. It’s like she never grew out of her teenage rebellion. She began to withdraw socially. Her circle of friends changed.

She went off to college. Mom and dad paid for everything. Some kids get homesick and have difficulty adjusting. Some love college life and they embrace the experience. She did neither. She got a job on campus, but did not enjoy campus life. She refused to allow her parents to see her grades at the end of the semester. She was a very bright student, so there should not have been any academic problems, so her parents allowed it. As it turned out, she was not going to class at all. She just took her parent’s money.

Her life became a series of bizarre events, too numerous to mention. All of the signs were there, but her family didn’t see it. They didn’t suspect drug use. They didn’t know what to look for. They didn’t believe it. Parents all over the country are in the same situation, they know there’s something not right, but they just can’t put their finger on it.

The days of “Leave It to Beaver” are over and parents need to be savvy, to recognize the signs of drug use. Yes, parents do have the right to pry into the lives of their children, especially if they have a concern they do not understand. Be proactive and learn the warning signs of drug abuse. Your beautiful, bright and intelligent girl might be in trouble, and you won’t see it.

Women Beware of Doctors Over-Prescribing Drugs

Friday, January 15th, 2010

I love the women of the Baby Boomer generation. They demanded world attention for their rights to equality in the sixties, changed the gender rules in the seventies, made their way into executive boardrooms in the eighties, and paved the way for the coming generations of their daughters and their daughter’s daughters. Generations X and Y, and hopefully “Z”, have a lot to thank them.

Today, younger adult women don’t have to go through what they did for recognition and understanding. When I enrolled at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1981, I was the only female in my first accounting class. Today, there are equally the same if not more women in graduate university and advanced education courses than men. This is how dramatically things have changed. But have they?

Since my mid-forties, I have had reason to visit a lot of doctor’s offices. I have been diagnosed as peri-menopausal, menopausal (differing opinions from different doctors), suffering from hypothyroidism, not suffering from hypothyroidism, Chronic Fatigue, no Chronic Fatigue, stress-related panic attacks, hypoglycaemia, hyperglycaemia – and the best of all – a recommendation that I should see a psychologist! All of these complaints and symptoms became more relevant when I later discovered I had severe adrenal problems – completely undiagnosed by all the doctors I saw. But for now, I just want to say, “God help the Baby Boomers!”

During the last few years, I have been in and out of so many doctor’s offices, surgeries, and hospitals that I have lost track. I have visited Hormone Specialists, Gynaecologists, General Practitioners and been rushed into hospital Emergency Rooms on countless occasions. I have had more blood tests than any rational person is meant to endure; subjected to ECGs (electrocardiograms), X-rays, brain scans, chest scans, hearing tests, and spent hours upon hours in those wonderful little ER cubicles waiting for tests or wheeled around from testing lab to testing lab. Not once, not a couple of times, but countless times. I have had the top of my palm injected with horrible large needles while I’ve waited for hours for a scan, drip, or blood transfusion.

I have also been insulted, ignored, laughed at, and been given operative procedures, drugs and antibiotics against my expressed concerns. A hospital gynaecologist even asked me on one occasion whether my breasts were real. (I am naturally well endowed.) I believe he was being playful and it was meant to be a joke – but at the time, I was lying in a hospital Emergency Room bed, waiting for a 4-pack blood transfusion. Needless to say, I didn’t find it very amusing at the time.

I am not a feminist. I know what strengths and weaknesses women have and acknowledge the strengths and weaknesses that men have. However, I am utterly astonished and dumbfounded at the way women are still being treated in the medical arena.

I am in total dismay at how the women of that gregarious, rebellious, open-minded, ground-breaking generation, the Baby Boomers, who led the revolution in changing the advertising, marketing, financial, and consumer-driven demands of the world, are still being treated as the 1950s stereotype female by the traditional medical community. And this includes some female doctors I have visited as well.

Every time I have visited a new doctor, the first typical response is, “its probably menopausal changes”. Firstly, if all I have suffered were menopause symptoms, I’d be swinging from the rafters with glee. I don’t wish to invalidate the women who have difficulties caused by hormonal changes, but with the new bio-identical hormone therapy available, menopause is an easier transition now than ever before.

Secondly, it worries me that the abruptness and immediacy of this instant diagnosis for women who happen to be in the 40 plus age group can potentially and dangerously prevent a real disease from accurate diagnosis and treatment or lead to misdiagnoses and serious consequences where there were none in the first place.

Men, younger women and now even teenagers and children are affected by similar circumstances. However, the typical and by far the larger demographic profile of wrongly diagnosed patients who fall victim to anti-depressants and tranquillisers are adult women.

Norma Finkelstein, Ph.D., of the Boston-based Coalition on Addiction, Pregnancy, and Parenting says, “Women tend to get addicted to prescription drugs like sedatives and tranquillisers more often than men do because doctors prescribe them to women more freely”. She estimates that 70 percent of prescribed tranquillisers and sedatives in the US are given to women. In Australia, 2:1 or 66.7 percent is the estimated ratio for women. Finkelstein also adds, “Women have long been seen by the medical profession as hysterical and anxious – so rather than listening to the woman’s problem, some doctors will just write a prescription for medication.”

I recall the wisdom of a friend who once said, “Educate the mother and you educate the family”. He was speaking of higher values at the time, but those words ring ominously in my mind now. Was the Rolling Stones’ 1960s hit “Mother’s Little Helper” a warning we didn’t heed?

he was like eighteen!” “Yeah, I know..” I said. Nick’s POV I was sitting on a rusty swing on the old playground in our neighbourhood, and had been sitting here for the past hour now. I didn’t really want to go home; my mom had freaked me out. Drugs. She was doing drugs. Freaking lunatic. I rested my head on the rope, and closed my eyes as I felt the chilly autumn air whip my face. “Is this taken?” I opened my eyes to see a girl about my age, with slightly baggy clothes standing in front of …
